A young Nigerian man has sparked conversations online after advising women to avoid getting married to men living abroad, claiming that many of them only see women as baby-making machines.
In a video making the rounds on social media, the man urged women, particularly Nigerians, to think twice before agreeing to marry men who reside overseas but leave their wives behind in Nigeria.
He described the situation as one of the biggest mistakes a woman could make — being left behind while her husband lives abroad, only for him to return occasionally to get her pregnant and leave again.
“The worst mistake wey you go do as a woman is to born pikin but they go dey keep you for Nigeria meanwhile they live abroad. Anytime they come Nigeria, dem go dey give you belle. You become baby factory, baby making machine,” he warned.
According to him, these men often do not prioritize the well-being of their wives back home. Instead, they treat them as convenient options for producing children without genuine emotional or physical support.
He went on to say that some of these men already have other relationships or families abroad and only return home when they want more children, further emphasizing that such marriages are often built on selfish motives rather than love or partnership.
His message has sparked a wave of reactions, with some social media users supporting his advice, while others argue that not all men living abroad share such intentions.
