According to the man, his colleague had received his salary into his Grey account, but upon trying to access the funds, he discovered that he could no longer log into his account. This unexpected situation left him in distress, especially as he needed the money urgently for personal expenses.

Seeking answers, they reached out to Grey’s customer support, only to be informed that a system glitch had occurred, which led to the accidental deletion of the account. What made matters worse was that the affected user was not notified beforehand, leaving him stranded and confused about how to recover his money.

Frustrated by the response from Grey, the man took to X (formerly Twitter) to call out the financial service provider, demanding immediate resolution. He shared:

“Apparently, Grey can’t account for my colleague’s $5,000 salary paid into their account.”

“Their excuse? They had a glitch a few days ago and deleted his account (without notifying him).”

“Money was sent to his account, and now they’re saying they can’t account for it, while the poor boy is left stranded and about to be kicked out of his apartment.”

“Please fix ASAP @greyfinance and @kingidee.”

As the post gained widespread attention, numerous social media users joined the discussion, expressing their outrage and disappointment over the issue. Many users called on Grey to act swiftly, while others shared their own troubling experiences with the platform.

See some reactions below:

@manlike_DiDi: “I was on the TL one time, I saw someone made good remarks about Grey. Went to download and switch from one other service. Was in between setting up my account and while I was on the TL at another time, same person made a painful remark. I pause work. He’s used it for a long time.”

@Winnerkirk: “What pisses me off about them is the lack of a customer support line to call. ACH transfer literally took 3/4 days and still got reversed. Everybody was confused and all we had was twitter chats as support. The only thing they’ve done well is NGN transfers.”

@Timely_Sonia: “A glitch and you can’t trace your customer money trusted with you? Haa!”

@Kali_ops: @greyfinance I got my own pay from the same company so please, review and fix ASAP.”
