A Nigerian man has taken to social media to seek help, claiming that multiple Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) branches have surrounded his house, making it impossible for him to rest. The man, who appeared distressed and frustrated, voiced his concerns about the overwhelming presence of these churches, all under the leadership of Pastor Enoch Adeboye. According to the man, these churches have been established in close proximity to his home, with one positioned at the front, another at the back, and one on the side, resulting in an unbearable noise level that affects his daily life.
In a viral TikTok video, the man lamented the continuous noise pollution caused by the churches' ongoing services, which run day and night. He mentioned how the noise has begun to take a toll on his physical and mental health, including his ability to sleep. This constant disruption has left him feeling exhausted and overwhelmed, as he is unable to find any respite, either during the day or at night. The man’s frustration was evident as he described how the churches’ activities were hindering his ability to live a peaceful life.
The man pleaded for help from Nigerians, stating: “Nigerians, please help me! Pastor Adeboye’s people won’t let me rest. There’s a church at my back, another at the front, and one beside me—all of them are RCCG! They are all practicing at the same time. What should I do?” His message highlighted the severity of his situation as he begged for assistance. He continued: “I can’t sleep at night, I can’t sleep during the day. Please save me from Pastor Adeboye’s people. Noise pollution is affecting my brain; don’t let my head scatter. Please, don’t let me die!”
As the post quickly spread across the internet, it caught the attention of concerned individuals who flooded the comment section to share their thoughts and offer advice. The responses were diverse, with some offering sympathy and others making light of the situation with humor. Several commenters suggested that the man consider taking legal action against the churches for noise pollution, citing laws against such disturbances. Others jokingly suggested that he buy loudspeakers to drown out the church noise or even relocate to another area altogether to escape the chaos. There were also those who questioned the validity of the man’s claims, asking for clarification on whether all the churches in question were indeed RCCG or if other religious groups were involved as well. Some individuals used the opportunity to highlight similar noise disturbances from mosques and other places of worship, pointing out that such issues are common but often go unnoticed.
