However, after discussions with the club about his future, he chose to remain at Old Trafford, asking the club if they still viewed him as an integral part of their plans moving forward. “I sat with the club as I had an offer to leave. We talked about the possibility. I just asked if they still saw me as part of the club’s future,” Fernandes said in a recent interview.
