Authorities have successfully recaptured three out of the twelve inmates who escaped from the Koton Karfe Correctional Centre in Kogi State following a violent jailbreak that occurred recently. The Acting Controller General of the Nigeria Correctional Service, Sly Nwakuche, addressed journalists during a press briefing at the correctional facility on Monday, where he provided updates on the situation. During the press conference, Nwakuche confirmed that one of the correctional officers on duty lost his life while trying to contain the breakout.
