Controversial social critic, Verydarkman, has publicly accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of extorting money from DJ Tunez, a close associate of Wizkid, and popular Nigerian singer Terry Apala.
In a recent video posted on his Instagram page, Verydarkman presented what appeared to be an EFCC invitation letter, with the recipient’s name deliberately blurred out to conceal their identity.

According to Verydarkman, the EFCC is now targeting celebrities under the guise of investigations. He alleged that both DJ Tunez and Terry Apala were summoned by the EFCC and honored the invitation.
He further claimed that upon their arrival at the EFCC office, their mobile phones were confiscated, and they were separated and taken to different locations. Following this, each of them was allegedly coerced into paying a sum ranging between $5,000 and $6,000 before they were released.
Furthermore, Verydarkman did not hold back in his criticism, accusing a large number of EFCC officials of engaging in corrupt practices and misusing their power for personal gain. He went as far as stating that he was willing to be investigated by the commission to prove his stance on the matter.
He stated: “EFCC officials are deeply corrupt. The corruption has eaten into the system, and many of them use their office to exploit young men on the streets. Now, they have started moving toward extorting celebrities.”
Meanwhile, the allegations have sparked a heated debate online, with many social media users sharing their opinions on the matter. As of now, the EFCC, DJ Tunez, and Terry Apala have yet to issue any official statement addressing Verydarkman’s claims.
