Renowned Nigerian Gospel musician, Testimony Jaga, has opened up about the life-changing experience that led him to dedicate his life to Christ after being released from jail.
In an interview on Pulse On The Record, Testimony Jaga shared a deeply personal story about his wrongful arrest and how his time in prison became a turning point in his spiritual journey.
Recounting the experience, he said: “In 2011, I gave my life to Christ after I left jail. I found myself in jail, not because I was a thief or anything. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
The gospel singer explained that before his arrest, he had been living with a friend who had promised to support his music career. However, he unknowingly got entangled in a situation that would change his life forever.
“Some people wanted to go do something, you know, like stealing. They came to the house where I was staying. I was sharing a house with someone who had promised to sign me,” he explained.
Testimony Jaga further detailed how the situation escalated: “I was there, and stuff like that happened. When the police came, they arrested everyone around. That was when I saw the reality of life. I got myself into that mess, but with God’s mercy, I was saved.”
After spending six months in jail, he was released, and it was at that moment that he made the life-altering decision to surrender his life to Christ. He expressed his gratitude for the grace that saved him and redirected his path toward gospel music and ministry.
His testimony has since inspired many, as he now uses his music to spread messages of hope, faith, and transformation.
