Famous Nigerian streamer Peller has raised alarm over alleged death threats he has been receiving after publicly urging Nigerians to discontinue the viral #30DayRants challenge on TikTok. The online challenge, which has gained widespread attention, focuses on criticizing President Bola Tinubu’s administration, sparking heated debates among social media users.
During a recent livestream, Peller revealed that he has been targeted with multiple threats from unidentified individuals who strongly opposed his stance on the matter. He claimed that some of these individuals explicitly warned him to “watch his back,” insinuating that he could face the same fate as fellow content creator Oloba Salo, who was tragically shot in Lekki last year.
Expressing deep concern over his safety, Peller stated, “I have been receiving death threats. Some people threatened to shoot me like they shot Salo in Lekki Phase 1. They asked me to watch my back when going out.”
His remarks reflect the growing tension surrounding political discourse in Nigeria, particularly on social media, where opinions on government policies often lead to heated confrontations and online harassment.
