Renowned Nigerian cleric, Femi Lazarus, has come forward to explain the rationale behind charging $150 for his school of ministry after facing criticism from popular musician Timi Dakolo regarding gospel singers’ high performance fees.
It all started when the Abuja-based pastor openly criticized the exorbitant fees charged by some gospel musicians when invited to minister at events. His statement quickly gained traction and sparked widespread discussions online.
In response, Timi Dakolo fired back at Femi Lazarus, pointing out that the pastor himself charges a fee for his school of ministry, implying a contradiction in his stance on gospel musicians charging for their services.
Following Dakolo’s response, a social media user, identified as Deeemaths, questioned Femi Lazarus directly, asking him to clarify why he charges $150 for his ministry school. The user wrote:
“But you charge $150 for your school of ministry? Please can you shed more light on it, sir? I thought it’s ministry?”
Reacting to the inquiry, Femi Lazarus offered a brief but direct response, stating:
“Yes o, it is a school.”
