Controversial American rapper Kanye “Ye” West has once again sparked widespread debate after openly admitting that he never wanted to have children with his former wife, Kim Kardashian.
In a recent interview with DJ Akademiks, which was streamed on Rumble, the 46-year-old rapper expressed regret over fathering children with the reality TV star. He took full responsibility for his choices and admitted that he realized early in the relationship that he did not want to have kids with her.

“I picked her, and it was absolutely my fault. I didn’t want to have children with her after the first two months of being with her—that wasn’t God’s plan,” Kanye stated, emphasizing his belief that their relationship was not meant to lead to parenthood.
West further opened up about his ongoing struggles with co-parenting, revealing his dissatisfaction with their custody arrangement. Although he and Kardashian finalized their divorce in 2022, they continue to share the responsibility of raising their four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. However, the rapper questioned the fairness of their current custody terms, lamenting, “I don’t got the name and likeness ownership, or at least 50-50 with my kids. So how’s it joint custody?”
The Grammy-winning artist also criticized fellow celebrities for remaining silent on his custody battle. He called out those who failed to support him, stating, “If you’re not going to speak on my behalf in this situation with my children, or where I was when I asked her to help years ago, don’t talk about my political views.”
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Kardashian has been actively working to limit their children’s exposure to certain external influences. Sources close to the reality star claim she recently prevented a visit between North and West, citing concerns about his associations with controversial figures, including Andrew Tate.
Additionally, insiders have revealed that Kardashian is particularly upset over Kanye’s decision to feature their eldest daughter, North, on a song alongside jailed rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing serious legal troubles related to sex crime charges. Reports indicate that this latest move has further strained their co-parenting dynamic, with some sources suggesting that Kardashian is now considering filing for sole custody of their four children.
West’s revelations have triggered an intense reaction online, with fans and critics weighing in on his remarks. While some sympathize with his frustrations regarding custody and parental rights, others argue that his statements reflect a lack of accountability for his past decisions. The ongoing tension between the former couple continues to fuel discussions about celebrity relationships, parenting, and legal custody battles in the public eye.
