Rapper, Odumodublvck has revealed that he was offered an enormous sum of money to campaign against Peter Obi, but he chose to turn it down despite the huge financial offer. This disclosure comes after he faced backlash for calling out the politician to support his upcoming album, “The Machine Is Coming.”
It would be remembered that Odumodublvck, who is widely known for his hit song "Declan Rice," had earlier called on Mr. Peter Obi to show support for his new music project, similar to the way he had supported the rapper during Obi's campaign. The call came at a time when many social media users criticized Odumodublvck for his direct approach, which some considered disrespectful.
Despite the backlash, the rapper maintained that supporting his album was a reasonable request and not an act of seeking favors. He disclosed that he had been approached with a money offer that was unlike anything he had ever seen before to campaign against Peter Obi, but he made the conscious decision to reject it. Odumodublvck emphasized that promoting his album by Obi should not be seen as a big ask considering the sacrifices he made during Obi’s campaign. He stated that he had stood by the politician during crucial moments, making it clear that supporting his music was not too much to ask in return.
Odumodublvck’s words on the situation were clear: “ASK ABBAS I WAS OFFERED MONEY I HAD NEVER SEEN TO CAMPAIGN AGAINST MR PETER BUT I TURNED IT DOWN. TELLING HIM TO PROMOTE MY NEW ALBUM IS NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK AS I AM NOT THE ONE TO SEEK FAVOURS. I SACRIFICED MY LIFE FOR THIS MAN. NO WAM. THE MACHINE IS COMING.”
His statements have added fuel to the ongoing conversation surrounding his relationship with the politician and his approach to asking for support for his music. Many are now waiting to see whether Peter Obi will respond to the rapper's call for album promotion, or if Odumodublvck’s comments will further stir the debate on social media. The rapper’s new album, “The Machine Is Coming,” is expected to drop soon, and his public appeal has added a new layer of intrigue to its release.
