Nigerian music superstar Davido has opened up about his marriage to his wife, Chioma Adeleke, revealing that they lived together for eight years before officially tying the knot.

“My partner and I have been living together for a long time prior to getting married. I met her in my third year in college, and I was lucky enough for us to move in together early—about eight years before we got married,” Davido stated.
Despite their deep connection, the singer admitted that marriage still comes with its own set of challenges. He emphasized that even though their transition into marriage felt natural, there were new dynamics they had to navigate as a married couple.
“The transition was smooth, but it’s different; getting married is no joke,” he added, hinting at the unique responsibilities that come with being a husband.

“Throughout the time we were living together, I was touring and really on the road. She always understood what I did for work, and she knows I’m at my happiest when I work. She knows I love music as she loves being in the kitchen,” Davido said, highlighting their mutual understanding and shared passions.
The superstar further expressed gratitude for how Chioma has stood by him through various phases of his career and personal life, making their bond even stronger. He noted that despite the ups and downs of life in the spotlight, their relationship remains solid because of their deep love and mutual respect.
